Domain forwarding sends anyone who visits your .box name to another web address. It is the quickest way to point your name at a site you already have, without setting up hosting. You manage it in the Domain Forwarding card on the Web tab, which appears once DNS is active.

In the Domain Forwarding card, enter the destination web address. It must be a full https:// URL, for example https://www.example.com. Then choose Forward. The card shows Set once forwarding is on, and visitors to your name are redirected to that address. Forwarding usually takes effect within an hour.

While forwarding is on, the address field is locked. To send your name somewhere else, choose Reset first, then enter the new address and choose Forward again. Choosing Reset on its own turns forwarding off, and the card returns to Not set.

Turning on forwarding sets up the underlying records that make the redirect work, replacing the address records at the top level of your name and at www. Turning forwarding off removes those records again. If you have set your own records for those, expect forwarding to take them over while it is on.

Forwarding also depends on my.box managing your DNS. If your name is pointed at custom nameservers, forwarding does not apply and shows as Not set.
