Set your avatar

Your avatar is the picture shown with your .box name across Web3 apps and wallets. You set it from the Profile card on the Identity tab.

Open the avatar picker

On the Identity tab, choose Edit Profile to start editing, then choose the pencil on your avatar to open the Update Avatar window. It offers three ways to set a picture:

  • Upload Image: upload a file from your device. Accepted types are PNG, JPG, and SVG, up to 10MB. You can click to choose a file or drag and drop one.

  • Select NFT: pick an NFT held by your connected wallet. my.box shows the NFTs in that wallet for you to choose from.

  • Enter URL: paste a link to an image, an ipfs:// link, or an NFT reference.

Choose your picture, and the window closes with it staged on your profile.

Save your avatar

Your avatar is saved as part of your profile, so it is written when you choose Save Changes, along with any other edits. This is a single on-chain transaction that you approve in your wallet, so you need a connected wallet and a small amount of ETH for the network fee. If you choose Cancel instead, your existing avatar is left untouched.
