Name overview
Every .box name you own has its own detail page. It is where you check a name's status, manage its identity and DNS, and renew or transfer it. This article explains what you see there.
Opening a name
From your account menu choose My Names, then choose the name you want. The detail page opens with the name across the top (shown as yourname.box) and a set of badges next to it. An ENS badge is always there, because every .box name is an ENS name. A DNS badge appears when DNS is active, and an Expired badge appears if the registration has lapsed.
The tabs
The page is organized into tabs. Three are always available:
Overview: status and services at a glance (this page).
Identity: your ENS profile, including avatar, addresses, and social links.
Admin: contact information, billing, and transaction history.
Two more appear only once DNS is active on the name:
Web: nameservers, DNS records, and domain forwarding.
Email: connect an email provider.
If you have just enabled DNS but still need to confirm your contact details, the Web and Email tabs stay hidden until that claim is complete. Turning DNS off hides them again. See Enable DNS on your name.
The Overview tab
Overview holds two cards.
The Registration card shows when the name was registered, when it renews or expires, its term (for example "2 years"), and its current status. Status reads Active normally, Expiring soon as it nears its expiration date, and Expired once it lapses. If auto-renew is on, this card shows a Cancel Auto-Renew button; if it is off, the date is labeled as an expiration rather than a renewal. You can also open the name on OpenSea from here with View on Opensea.
The Enabled Services card shows the two layers of your name. ENS is always listed as active. DNS shows one of three states: an Enable DNS button when it is off, an Active badge when it is on, or, if a DNS claim is pending, a Claim DNS Now button with the time you have left to finish.
Actions
From the detail page you can:
Renew name to extend the registration. See Renew your
.boxname.Transfer Name (in the overflow menu) to move it to another wallet. See Transfer a name.
Enable DNS to turn on the website layer.
If a name is expired, these actions are unavailable and my.box prompts you to recover the name first.
Banners
Two banners can appear above the cards when they apply. One asks you to review your domain contact information when a yearly WHOIS review is due (see ICANN WHOIS review). The other appears when a name is in its recovery window after expiring, with a button to recover it.
