Pay with crypto
You can pay for a .box name directly from your wallet. Crypto payments happen on Ethereum, and you approve them in your wallet.
Choose a token
On the payment page, choose Crypto, then pick a token:
Ethereum uses your ETH balance.
USDC uses your USDC balance.
USDT uses your USDT balance.
my.box shows the amount you'll pay in that token, an estimated network fee, and the network you're on. Your wallet needs enough of the token to cover the price, and enough ETH to cover the network fee (gas), even when you pay with USDC or USDT.
If something is off, my.box tells you before you continue: it warns when your balance is too low (and offers another token or a card), when your wallet is on the wrong network (with a button to switch to Ethereum), and when your ETH may be too low to cover gas.
Accept the terms, then choose Continue to registration.
Approve the transactions
Registering a name on-chain takes a short, guided sequence that you approve in your wallet:
Open Wallet and Start Registration reserves your name privately. This step is free.
A 60 second wait follows. This is a security step that stops anyone from grabbing your name while your registration is in progress.
Pay & Register completes the purchase.
Paying with ETH is a single payment transaction. Paying with USDC or USDT takes two: one to approve the token, then one to register. When it finishes you see a confirmation that your name is registered to your wallet, with a link to view the transaction on Etherscan.
Renewing with crypto
Renewing is simpler than registering: there is no reservation step or wait. You approve Pay & Renew (one transaction for ETH, or an approval plus the renewal for USDC and USDT), and the name's term extends. See Renew your .box name.
