Understand pricing

.box name pricing is simple: a flat yearly rate per name, with no long-term contracts. This article explains what you pay and when.

A flat yearly rate

A standard .box name costs a flat rate per year (currently $50 per year). You see the exact price next to each name as you search, and again in your cart and at checkout, so there are no surprises.

Longer registrations are just the yearly rate multiplied by the number of years. Ten years costs ten times one year; there is no bulk discount and no penalty. You choose anywhere from one to ten years when you register or renew.

Some names may be priced higher than the standard rate. The price shown for a name is always the price you pay for that name.

Network fees

How network fees appear depends on how you pay:

  • Paying by card shows the network fee as Free.

  • Paying with crypto shows a small estimated network fee (the gas for your transaction). my.box displays this as an estimate, and your wallet confirms the final amount before you sign.

When the price is set

Crypto prices are quoted live and can move slightly between when you search and when you check out. If the total changes after you have started, my.box asks you to review the updated amount before charging you. Nothing is charged until you confirm.

Discounts

A promo code takes a fixed amount off the price of one name in your order. See Apply a promo code.
