How do I get a referral link?

All .box holders that register an account on my.box get a referral link. This means when you purchase (primary, or secondary) you get a referral . If you are sent a .box domain NFT, you also get a referral link. You can find your referral link by going to my.box -> My Domains -> Select any domain -> Click the Referral link button in the Share & Earn section to copy your referral link to your clipboard.

How do I get attributed?

You can directly share your referral link and it will lead users to the my.box homepage. If a user then proceeds to make a .box domain purchase within the next 7 days, and if it is their first time visiting the my.box web app, you will be attributed and receive your reward within the next 45 days.

How much can I earn?

$18 USDC per domain purchased with your referral link. There is no limit on how much any referrers can earn.

How will I receive the referral rewards?

The USDC rewards will be sent via the Optimism network to the wallet that Forward Resolution is set on. By default, this is whatever wallet holds your .box domain. Make sure to check your wallet balance while it is connected to the Optimism network. Learn more: What is Forward Resolution?

Are there any limitations in terms of the number of referrals I can make?

No, as long as you adhere to the referral agreement.

Will my referral link always stay active?

Yes

What happens upon sharing my referral link?

By default, a referral link will take users to the my.box homepage with your referral code in the URL. If the referral code is valid and you are the first person that has referred that visitor to the my.box page then you will be attributed and rewarded if that user purchases a .box domain during that session or up to 7 days after that point.

Someone used my code, but I didn't get the referral reward; what happened?

The user could have used an Adblocker or similar feature that may have prevented the attribution. Things like adblockers are known for blocking scripts that services rely on for attribution. If someone has one on, it may prevent us from seeing that a purchase was referred by you.

Will I get rewarded on renewal fees as well? Or initial purchases only?

You will be rewarded for initial purchases only.
